The dimensions are 900x120px but I would recommend you download the template attached to the contest's description, that way you will be absolutely sure about it.resurepus,

but the file is unable to open ... i don't know what's wrong with it,

Nice idea behind it. But the part where he sketches Contest looks kind of odd.

Asparagus, I can see that it took a lot of work to make this, but I have a couple of comments:
In my opinion there is too much animation going on. Think about the fact that the header will be reloaded every time user opens a new thread, posts a comment or does anything else on the forum.
There are a lot of students in our community so I can see why you chose the notebook sheet as the background. But personally I don't like that the red line splits the logo. It kind of merges with it and for somebody who sees our logo for the first time it will be hard to say that it is only "DC" and not "D|C" if you see what I mean.

i'm a little bit late
nearly end of the month
since the last time i send out the dark-grey theme
so this time i try to do light theme banner and it come with the red strip not much effect this time just a simple

WOW NICE EFFECT, but reminds me allot of disco lights . When it stop its too empty. Allot of open white space. Maybe bigger logo and name with a tagline.
And dark to bright effect not really fan of. Or keep it dark or keep it light.

Congratulations to the winner!
I like the header as a whole but not the last line of text (Logo, Illustration, etc.) It doesn't work visually for me and even though at the beginning I thought these were buttons. That's my opinion.
P.S Btw what happened with the 'New contest every two-three weeks' ?

It looks like 2 different sections. DesignContest.net is thin,small and allot of white space. And logo&web&print is very big, bold and overlap with very little white space. Try to tone it together so that both parts fit more with each other.

rinaldidesigns who is the moderator of community contests section must be a little busy at the moment. We'll try to work something out to ensure new contests on regular basis. By the way, thanks for giving us a little push once in a while. It really helps!Congratulations to the winner!
