Currently ( a new feature ), I can pause my logo at this site so that the logo won't be able for sale temporarily until I click unpause. It shows something like this when a logo is paused:
https://www.logogrou...go.php?id=28721

My question is, can I pause my logo and participate that logo in contest? What is DC law about this.

Of course the logo can still be viewed on google, same also if we recycle logo from previous contest, the logo from previous contest can also be viewed on google.

Please clarify. Thanks :)

Pause and unpause seem to be a good feature.

I think the logo could just as easily be withdrawn and reentered if necessary.

What would be the actual benefit of being able to pause a design? (to DC, the designer, the CH)

What would happen to a contest with many paused entries when it expires?

Would a paused entry be sort of a double blind entry that cound be unpaused after a contest expires?

To me, it seems that a paused entry is sort of half-entered into a contest and could be entered elsewhere.

It is easy to see problems arising over who entered a concept first when one or both have been paused.

Either enter it or don't. No games pausing and unpausing.

I may be pessimistically over-thinking the issue but I it seems to me to be a solution without a problem.

imho

Interesting concept.  I would only add that before you take the pause off make sure that it is completely withdrawn  from  the DC site.  I don;'t see a problems here.

I think  you have this is reverse.

The question is,  "Can I pause my logo,on the other site, and then enter it at DC?,"  not, "Can we pause logos on DC?" which  would be a request for a new feature.

You are absolutely correct.

I missinterpreted the comment.

Apologies all around.

However, tracking when designs are paused and not paused off site may prove troublesome.

I leave Sharie and Babba to consider the consequences. It may prove to be a whole new can of worms.

Yes, OK, I am a cranky old guy. Paused and unparsed entries might make you this way too.

Sort of slightly pregnant. This is an invitation to a whole new level of "issues".

Maybe we can start pausing comments?

Sorry, really folks, do we need a new variable in Design Court considerations?

I suspect that those of you who have numerous small children in th back seat do not want to listen to this.

Thanks

I don't see an issue with the original logo from the same designer to be paused & hidden from another website and then entered the contest in DC.

On the face of it, with people of good will and fair hearts, it is a great idea.

In truth, I do not see how you could honestly prevent it if you wanted to.

But then, what about the others?

There will always be schemers finding new ways to game the system.

It will be just another wrinkle to iron out.

It is just one more thing.
