It's only a concept as far as I know. It got a really nice design as well as a really good intuitive way to handle it.
Might call it FlashPaper, newspapers in Flash-format:

I find that I'm always working with clients who want to emulate their publications online. This is a nice way of doing so.

And as long as the program runs, you can convert to falsh paper all you want. The files are just plain ol'SWF and should remain supported for many many year to come.

Why do people keep saying that ? Just because the product is going away doesn't mean the files are going to die... if you have converted stuff to flash paper, they are just flash files and can stay that way basically FOREVER,

It was last included in Macromedia Studio 8, and is still available as a standalone product from Adobe. FlashPaper files can be also generated by ColdFusion web applications. Adobe announced it was discontinuing development of FlashPaper on September 4, 2008. The company states that "the demand [for FlashPaper] has continually declined to where it is no longer economically viable for Adobe to continue development support for FlashPaper" but does note that it will continue selling and supporting the existing version of FlashPaper.
