We all know about the client's taste- it often is against ours! You must try to convince the client with some more fonts, and if you can't, I suggest you to use a little brighter red, just to make the whole logo less heavy. For the rest, I like. Maybe you could align the "financial technologies" writing with the straight line of the upper P, and make it a bit smaller. Of course this also goes with client's taste, just my suggestion.

The arrow used seems to be too clip art in my opinion. i think it is possible to use an arrow (representing the growth) without it feeling too generic. I wouldn't use $ either- it seems to pull away from the professionalism.
In your next meeting, bring similar fonts- if they still don't agree with your gentle urging, I don't think there is much you can do.
