You cant participate in Elite Designers Team contests.
This means that if you want to show your work, you will need to wait until the contest ends.

I was curious why if you can't participate in the contest, you have to wait to post ideas until afterwards. Are we worried about theft or ...?

no; it's just to participate in the contests you need to have specific permissions.
