Any suggestions or ideas for this logo? Client wants strong tree imagery, grasses and flowers — one symbol for each to represent their brand and company. They sell native plants. I think this is close but seem to have hit a wall.
Not sure what to do with the word American. Is the logo in general hard to read?
Thanks!

I made a few changes to the second one. I think the word Native looks better now that it fits into the contour of the tree. I also like how the word nursery is closer to the rest of the words.
I think this is best, than your second modification, the fonts are good, and the symbols are on the logo

I didn't mind the native part of your first logo.
Your last one definitely works a lot a better though.
To me it's missing something though. Have you tried a light green (same as AMERICAN) around the whole tree. It might give it a little more life.
Nice work.

The 2nd version of the 2nd logo i like it.I like a lot the proportions of the words and also the contrast between them. The fact that "american" and "nursery" are sanserif makes a more pleasent contrast with "native" wich is serif. Also the different kerning of "nursery" ads a contrast to the word and also it makes it look in harmony with the whole logo. So in my opinion not the 3rd but the 2nd version is the best.
For the 1st logo maybe a bolder font for "native" can help it little be more readable
